About the Artist
James Green is an established professional artist Born in 1974 and based in Whittlesey near Peterborough.
It all started for James after leaving school with only a 'C' in art! Which for most people who admire James work can't seem to believe, however in 1996 after five years of studying art and illustration James finally graduated from art college winning along the way two student of the year awards. James was quick to build on this platform and has never looked back; he's since produced an ever growing portfolio and with that a reputation which is second to non.
He gains inspiration mainly from the Cambridgeshire Fens. With the ever changing big skies that the Fens have to offer James believes that it is the perfect place to live as an artist and he also believes from a artists point of view that the fens are practically untouched compared to other parts of the UK.
James' highly detailed paintings are a result of many hours of field study and research. His originals are produced with gouche, watercolour and acrylic inks often all mixed together and mainly applied with a mix of the paint brush and a airbrush- this technique offers a different approach to a traditional landscape painting which sets James apart from most other artists.
